Summary
This article explains how patients complete their account set up in the Health Portal for first-time use.
Note: This ONLY needs to be done once prior to first-time use. You can either do this in the app (recommended) or the Health Portal. The next log-in will not require you to perform these actions anymore.
Instructions
After the Health Care Professional (HCP) sends an invite to the patient from the Health portal, the patient will receive a 'Verify your account' email from Respiri to validate the account.
- Check and open the email from Respiri with the subject line 'Verify your account' and click Validate account as shown below.
- The browser will open a page to validate the account.
To validate the account, enter the date manually or select a date from the date picker by clicking the rectangular field. Tick the box 'I agree to respiri's Terms & Conditions and Privacy policy' then click Next.
NOTE: Ensure that you entered the email your provider signed you up with and your date of birth to validate your account. If these are incorrect, you will be unable to validate your account successfully. - The 'Change Password' page will show, prompting you to set up and confirm the new password.
- Once you have successfully reset the password, you will be directed to the page where you need to download the app from your phone. Refer to How do I set up my patient account in the app for first-time use? for assistance on setting up the account using the respiri app on the smartphone.
Go to the next step to set up a patient account in Health Portal. - Login to the Health Portal. Enter the Email address and the new password and click Sign in.
- A 6-digit Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) code will then be sent as an SMS to the patient's cell number.
Note: A user who logs in for the first time receives MFA. Following this, they will not be required to enter MFA for every sign-in. However, for security purposes, users will be prompted to enter a new MFA code again after 30 days of inactivity.
Enter the 6-digit MFA code then click Verify. - If login is successful, you will be directed to your dashboard. Sample image below for reference. (Note: It will show the data for the past 7 days, 4 weeks or 1 year. If it is available, additional tabs to the right of "wheeze rate & medication" will be accessible to show other patient data.)
NOTE: It is a MUST for a patient to set up their account in the respiri smartphone app for first-time use if this has not been done yet. Refer to How do I set up my patient account in the app for first-time use? for assistance on setting up the account using the respiri app on the smartphone.

wheezo® is not intended for diagnostic use. wheezo® is intended to detect and record abnormal breath sounds (continuous adventitious breath sounds/CABS) at the windpipe (trachea), reported as WheezeRate in adults and children (2 years and older).
When used to monitor wheeze, the user should be under the care of a licensed healthcare professional. A licensed healthcare professional’s advice is required to understand the meaning and importance of wheeze rate.
If the user is feeling breathless, or experiencing other symptoms, it is important to prioritise treatment over taking a wheeze rate. Do not delay treatment. Regardless of the wheeze rate, if the user has signs and symptoms such as, but not limited to, chest tightness, shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing, they should always follow their healthcare professional’s advice.
